My personal development is marked by a bicultural education – my father is Dutch and my mother is Spanish. This motivated a strong interest in learning about other cultures and working in an international environment. Altijd verder is a space to express emotions and ideas and to tell about people and places that I encounter while I run. Most of these ideas have to do with sustainable development. My commitment with the sustainable use of our environment and social equity has formed the red line of my professional development. Besides this, I am a dedicated marathon runner. Sport in general has helped me to establish contact with people in most of the places where I have been, and running in particular has been the means to get me to many of these places. Altijd verder is the fusion of all these things: the moment in which my steps turn into letters, the ground in which footprints become words, it is the effort in which an avarage runner tries to become a better person.
